- Cook the beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (and onion if using) until browned.
Drain excess fat.
- Mix the filling:
Add corn, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, ½ cup shredded cheddar, garlic powder, pepper, and paprika.
Stir until everything is well combined and creamy.
- Assemble the casserole:
