Beannie Weenies (Hot Dogs & Baked Beans)

Ingredients (Serves 4):
2 (15–16 oz) cans baked beans
4–6 hot dogs, sliced into rounds
2 tablespoons ketchup (optional)
1 tablespoon yellow mustard (optional)
1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
½ small onion, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions:
Slice the hot dogs into bite-size rounds.
Place a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add the baked beans and sliced hot dogs to the pot.
Stir in ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and onion if using.
Simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot and slightly thickened.
Taste and adjust sweetness or tanginess if desired.
Serve warm — great with toast or cornbread.
Quick Tip:
For extra flavor, lightly pan-fry the hot dog slices before adding them to the beans.
