Cheesy Bacon Stuffed Rolls
Ingredients (8–10 rolls)
Dough
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- ¾ cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 egg
Filling
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese (cubed or shredded)
- ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped
- Optional: cheddar cheese, cream cheese, or garlic powder
Topping
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Extra bacon bits
- Chopped parsley or chives
Instructions
- Prepare the dough
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, butter, and egg.
- Knead until soft and smooth (8–10 minutes).
- Cover and let rise 1 hour, until doubled.
- Prepare filling
- Mix cheese and bacon together.
- Shape the rolls
- Divide dough into equal balls.
- Flatten each piece, add filling in the center.
- Seal tightly and shape into smooth balls.
- Second rise
- Place on lined baking tray.
- Cover and rest 20 minutes.
- Bake
- Brush tops with melted butter.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 18–22 minutes until golden.
- Finish
- Brush again with butter.
- Sprinkle bacon and parsley on top.
- Serve warm for maximum cheese pull
