I made my mama’s recipe tonight for dinner. One bite in, I’m instantly 10 yrs old again

Ingredients:

4-5 pork chops

1 onion, sliced

1 tomato, sliced

1/3 cup tomato sauce

1/4 cup brown vinegar (malt vinegar)

1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce

1 cup beef stock

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Optional: crushed garlic, chili flakes

Instructions:

Layer the pork chops, sliced onion, and tomato in a slow cooker. Optionally, brown the chops beforehand for enhanced flavor.

In a bowl, combine tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown vinegar, beef stock, brown sugar, and, if desired, crushed garlic and chili flakes.

Pour this sauce mixture over the chops, onion, and tomato in the slow cooker.

Cook on high for about 3 hours or until the chops are tender. (Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the slow cooker.)

About 30 minutes before serving, thicken the sauce by stirring in a cornstarch slurry (cornstarch dissolved in cold water).

Serve the casserole chops hot and savor the rich, heartwarming flavors that echo the love and care of a mother’s touch. Enjoy a meal that’s more than just food—it’s a tribute to a mother’s love and a family’s cherished memories.”

Enjoy!
