🍊 Orange Slice Candies with Powdered Sugar & Pecans (No-Bake Classic)
A sweet, chewy, old-fashioned treat made with orange slice candies, crunchy pecans, and powdered sugar. Perfect for holidays or quick dessert trays.
🛒 Ingredients
1 (16 oz / 450 g) bag orange slice candies, chopped
1 cup finely chopped pecans (lightly toasted for best flavor)
1 (14 oz / 395 g) can sweetened condensed milk
4 cups powdered sugar (plus extra for coating)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the candies
Lightly grease a knife or kitchen scissors and chop the orange slices into small pieces.
2️⃣ Mix the base
In a large bowl, combine chopped orange candies and pecans.
3️⃣ Add condensed milk
Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and mix well.
4️⃣ Add powdered sugar gradually
Stir in powdered sugar, one cup at a time, until a thick dough forms.
(You may not need the full 4 cups—stop when the dough is firm but slightly sticky.)
5️⃣ Shape the logs
Dust your hands with powdered sugar. Form the mixture into 2–3 logs (about 1½ inches thick).
6️⃣ Coat & chill
Roll logs in extra powdered sugar. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
Refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
7️⃣ Slice & serve
Slice into ¼-inch rounds and dust lightly with more powdered sugar if needed.
🔥 Pro Tips
Toast pecans in a dry pan for 3–4 minutes for deeper flavor.
If mixture feels too sticky, add a little more powdered sugar.
Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
✨ Optional Variations
Swap pecans for walnuts.
Add ½ cup shredded coconut.
Mix in a few drops of orange extract for stronger citrus flavor.
